The Worship Center Christian Church began in 2010 after the dis-solvent of the former church, The Word is Alive Ministries under the Godly leadership of Pastor Robert Loggins. Praise be to God that we were fortunate to have had his leadership while we did. God called Pastor Loggins to a higher ministry; one to serve the entire State of Missouri in a leadership position . His focus is to assist in growing church's like ours through Prayer and Awakening

ministries within the Southern Baptist convention on a state wide level to impact many souls for God's kingdom.

Therefore, during the transition, it was recommended by pastor Loggins that Carlos Mayfield and Ray Agnew would co-Pastor the church.

After long periods of prayer and fasting, seeking Gods wisdom and guidance, in August of 2010, Pastor Agnew recommended that we move the church meeting location in St.Peters at Calvary Church to the Double Tree hotel in West Port. Upon moving our meeting location, Pastor Mayfield recommended the church incorporate under a new name The Worship Center Christian Church, developing a new focus and mission for the church, thus, John 4:23-24 were derived to support our new name and direction.

Pastor Mayfield is married to the former, Shellie C. Metcalfe for over 20+ years. They have three sons, Chase, Clayton and Christian.
